This baby-faced teddy bear was specifically designed for you to sew lovely keepsakes. With an adorable heart-shaped nose, cute upturned muzzle, arms and legs sewn into seams (for easy construction), large flat spaces for embroidery and a chubby little bottom (for extra “hugginess”) this is a perfect pattern for a keepsake bear! RECOMMENDED FABRICS:
This Keepsake teddy bear pattern can be sewn in most fabrics. Use interfacing to line fabrics that are thin and very stretchy. This allows you to mix different types of fabrics for your keepsake bear. You will need about 8-10 pieces of baby clothing to make a baby keepsake but you can also use just 2 fabrics (Main and Contrast).
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Main fabric - 38cm x 110cm wide (15inches x 44inches wide) *
- Contrast fabric - 20cm x 55cm wide (8inches x 22inches wide)*
- Embroidery thread for nose and mouth.
- Scrap of felt for nose.
- 18mm Black craft eyes.
- Medium, iron-on interfacing - 50 x 110cm wide (20inches x 44inches wide)
* You will need about 8-10 pieces of baby clothing to make a baby keepsake.
